TIP-7913 (Signature Verifiers) received an update Aug 25, 06:25 UTC. The proposal defines a standard interface for verifying signatures from cryptographic keys that have no on-chain address of their own, such as secp256r1/passkeys, RSA keys, or ZK-proven Web2 credentials. The proposal is authored by yanghang8612 (CONTRIBUTOR association) and has drawn 11 comments since opening on July 2. The interface is designed to extend signature verification beyond natively supported secp256k1 and work with account abstraction, particularly for curves such as secp256r1 supported by many mobile devices and available on TVM as a precompile via TIP-7951, as well as RSA keys verifiable on TVM through the MODEXP precompile.
