Privacy Policy — TronRelic Reddit Bot

This policy covers the TronRelic companion app on Reddit's Developer Platform (Devvit) and the TronRelic backend it talks to. It describes exactly what Reddit data the app reads, what leaves Reddit, how long it is kept, and what is never collected.
TL;DR
The app does two things. It posts updates that a person at TronRelic wrote and approved, into subreddits where a moderator installed it. And it collects public posts and comments from a short list of subreddits, sends them to TronRelic, and keeps them for 7 days so TronRelic can summarize what the community is discussing. It never reads private messages, modmail, or anything not publicly visible, and it never sells data or uses it to train AI models.
What the app reads from Reddit
Only publicly visible content, through Reddit's own APIs:
- The name of the subreddit the app is installed in.
- Public posts from a small list of subreddits configured by the TronRelic operator: post ID, title, author username, body text, link URL, score, comment count, and creation time.
- Up to 10 public top-level comments per post: author username, body text, and score.
Author usernames are collected because they are an inseparable part of a public post. No other information about any Reddit user is gathered — no email address, no IP address, no vote history, no browsing activity, no profile data, and no private or deleted content.
What leaves Reddit
The app sends the following to TronRelic servers at tronrelic.com over HTTPS:

Nothing else is transmitted. The app holds no TronRelic user accounts and cannot associate Reddit content with any TronRelic user.
What is stored, and for how long

The submission log records only content TronRelic authored and published itself. It holds no third-party user content.
Automated processing and AI
Collected public posts and comments are placed in the context window of an AI assistant so it can answer questions and produce summaries about recent community discussion. That means this content is transmitted to TronRelic's AI provider for processing at query time.
This content is not used to train any AI model, by TronRelic or by its provider — TronRelic's provider does not train on data submitted through its API. No automated decision is made about any individual, and no profile of any Reddit user is built.
What the app does NOT do
- It does not read private messages, modmail, chat, or any non-public content.
- It does not collect email addresses, IP addresses, votes, or profile data.
- It does not track individual users, build profiles, or attempt to identify anyone.
- It does not sell, rent, license, or share data with advertisers or data brokers.
- It does not use collected content to train AI models.
- It does not post anything a person at TronRelic has not reviewed and approved.
- It does not set cookies or run any tracking script — the app has no user-facing interface.
Removing your content
Reddit content collected by this app is a short-lived copy of what is already public, and it deletes itself within 7 days.
If you want a copy removed sooner, contact us at the address below with the post or comment link and we will delete it from the cache. Deleting your post or comment on Reddit also stops it from being re-collected, and the existing copy expires on its normal schedule.
Moderators can stop all collection from their subreddit immediately by removing the app, or by asking us to remove the subreddit from the read list. Removing the app also stops all posting into that subreddit.
Legal bases and your rights
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA applies, TronRelic processes this public content under legitimate interests — summarizing public discussion relevant to the TRON blockchain — and does not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information about you, or object to its processing, by contacting us. We respond within the period the applicable law requires.
Third parties
- Reddit, Inc. — the source of all content and the host of the companion app; governed by Reddit's Privacy Policy.
- TronRelic's AI provider — processes collected content at query time to produce summaries, under API terms that prohibit training on submitted data.
- TronRelic's hosting and infrastructure providers — store the data described above.
No other third party receives this data.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date. Continued operation of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
