Terms of Service — TronRelic Reddit Bot

These terms govern use of the TronRelic companion app on Reddit's Developer Platform. Installing the app in a subreddit means the installing moderator accepts them.
What the app is
The app connects a subreddit to TronRelic, a TRON blockchain analytics service. It publishes updates that a person at TronRelic has written and approved, and it collects public posts and comments from a configured list of subreddits so TronRelic can summarize community discussion. What it collects and stores is described in the Privacy Policy.
Who may install it
Only a moderator with authority to add apps to a subreddit may install it, and only in a subreddit where automated posting from TronRelic is permitted by that subreddit's rules. If the subreddit requires bot approval, obtain it first.
Moderator control
The moderator who installs the app is in control of it and may remove it at any time, for any reason, without notice to us. Removal stops all posting into that subreddit immediately.
Posts the app submits are ordinary subreddit posts and are subject to that subreddit's rules and moderation. Moderators may remove, lock, or flair them as they would any other post. We do not contest moderator action and do not attempt to re-post removed content.
What we commit to
- Human approval. Every post the app submits has been reviewed and approved by a person at TronRelic. The app does not generate or publish content on its own.
- Rate. The app checks for queued posts about once per minute and collects content about once every ten minutes. It does not bulk-scrape and does not exceed the platform's rate limits.
- Public content only. The app reads only what is publicly visible.
- No resale. Collected content is not sold, licensed, or used to train AI models.
- Compliance. We operate the app within Reddit's User Agreement, Developer Terms, and Data API Terms, and the rules of each subreddit it is installed in.
Acceptable use
Do not use this app to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene, or misleading; to evade a ban or moderator action; to spam or manipulate votes or rankings; or in any way that violates Reddit's rules or a subreddit's rules. We may disable the app in any subreddit where it is used this way.
Content and accuracy
TronRelic content concerns blockchain analytics and is provided for information only. It is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Blockchain data may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, and market conditions change. Do not rely on it to make financial decisions.
Content the app collects from Reddit is authored by Reddit users, not by us. We do not endorse it and are not responsible for it. Rights in that content remain with its authors and with Reddit under Reddit's terms.
Availability
The app is provided free of charge, as-is and as-available, with no warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, delivery of any post, or continued operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue it at any time. Reddit may independently restrict or remove it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TronRelic is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from use of the app. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to USD $100.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify TronRelic against claims arising from your use of the app in breach of these terms or in violation of Reddit's rules or applicable law.
Relationship to Reddit
TronRelic is an independent developer. This app is not created, endorsed, sponsored, or supported by Reddit, Inc. Reddit is not a party to these terms and bears no responsibility for the app.
Changes
Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance. Removing the app is the way to decline.
