Each strip is one week, one bar per UTC hour, oldest on the left. A bar carries two readings at once: its colour is which power of ten the hour’s figure sits in, and its height is where inside that power it falls — so 3,000 and 30,000 are different colours, while 3,000 and 4,000 are the same colour at different heights. Splitting the reading that way is what lets five measures spanning four orders of magnitude share one scale without the small ones flattening into a line.

The scale is shared across every strip rather than fitted to each one. That is the point of the panel: a per-strip scale would make hourly TRX volume and hourly transfer counts look identical, and the four-orders-of-magnitude difference between them is the most obvious fact about the pair.

The bands are one colour at five strengths rather than five different colours. A stronger bar always means a larger power of ten, so the bands order themselves without a reader going back to the legend — which a set of unrelated hues cannot do, since nothing about teal says whether it is more or less than amber.

A strip is a shape, and a shape cannot be quoted. Move the pointer across one — or give the strips keyboard focus and use the arrow keys — and the same hour is marked on all five at once with its figures listed underneath, which is the comparison across measures the shared time axis exists for.

TRX moved and Average transfer are marked seed only because core’s block:new event carries counts but no volume. Extending them from arriving blocks would mean inventing a figure, so their newest hour holds whatever the seed measured and stops there. An hour the rollup never produced is left as a gap rather than drawn at zero, because a quiet hour and a missing hour are different things.
